A couple of jobs ago, I was responsible for managing 6 sites in the
local area. I got in the habit of using the scan to email feature of
our big MFPs and scanned every piece of paper I had.

I should spend a weekend and scan everything I have now at home.

Good luck in your job search. I spent 2016-2017 looking for a job, and
part of 2018. I had some career coach sessions that helped some. Two
takeaways I had from that were to focus on making stories compelling,
and using what people refer to as a SCAR/STAR portfolio.

Describe a Situation, the Challenge it presented, the Actions you took,
and the Results to the company and the people - and do it in a way
that's compelling. How did it affect the company, change people's
workflow? Make life easier for employees?

The second thing that helped was applying that SCAR methodology to
every job you've done. It's too easy to focus on the most recent
events, especially when you're laid off. Go back over your entire
career, you've got compelling stories of how you helped a company
succeed that you've forgotten. That's a real shot in the arm.

If you're walking, keep doing it. If not, start at least once a day.
Get out, stretch out, get some air, and some sunlight. It made a huge
 difference in my mindset.
