My son is just starting out in employment with a college degree, and was
complaining about having to apply to a handful of companies. He got a
paid internship that's lasted a year and keeps getting extended.

I showed him my OneNote "Job Search" notebook, I sent out something like
130+ resumes after I was laid off in 2016 - and I know people who've
sent many more. I hope I saw all of the poorly done candidate intake
processes then.

One company that was hiring for a video conferencing manager wanted you
to send them a video of you -- mind you, this is for a behind the camera
position, not on-camera talent!
