It is possible that I could have also done that but didn't want to carry my birth certificate, so I got a passport instead. I don't 100% remember now, though. > but the amount of times we'd go through there and they'd just ask > "citizenship?" and send us along (potentially with one or two friends so waste > they can barely speak) without looking at anything was crazy. i guess it's not > a surprise they're gung-ho about it after all that time. LOL, coming out of Canada into the USA in 2017, they had a bunch of mirrors and stuff set up so they could see below the car. The guy barely looked at my passport before sending me on... he was much more concerned with the car behind me that had entered the "no-man's zone." I would not have wanted to be in that car as I would guess they got checked a lot closer. That was at Port Huron, a somewhat busy crossing. Going into Canada, I crossed the border south of Thunder Bay, ON. The Canadians were a little more skeptical about why someone from Kentucky would be crossing there. They took my passport and detained me maybe 20-30 minutes before asking me a few questions about why I was there and where I was going. "Great Lakes Circle Tour" and naming some places off that I was visiting helped. They were pretty nice about it. * SLMR 2.1a * Talk is cheap -- supply exceeds demand! --- Synchronet CAPCITY2 * Capitol City Online ----------------------------------------------------------- [Voltar]
