Problem with DD-WRT and OpenWRT is so far just not being able to be current enough with newer hardware, though if you are on a BBS ya probably aren't worrying about that too much.  I have found with running DD-WRT on 2 routers the past 10+ years is that Discons happen quite often on DD-WRT, and I can't compare to OpenWRT, but is probably better.

Also on another note, (This is for anyone) that I'm trying to put together a firewall box that has 2 - 5GBit connections in and out. (For future proofing here in about 6 months when 2.5GBit is available.  Wondering which brand or whatnot of ethernet card to run it all before my spectrum router gets hold of the uplink..  Cheaper but long lasting preferred. I'll also need a third one or even fourth one for my main gentoo box and my gaming rom server so I can at least get the 2.5GBit that the ethernet out of the router has or close to it compared to the 1GBit that's in mostly everything.
