i used to have a bunch of epson fx-880 dot matrix printers.
this guy in a computer shop told me to never get rid of them when i told him
i had a bunch.

eventually i tossed them.  they were great workhorses but i am a print at 
work kinda guy.

one time my 'monitor' (i call them displays) blew and i was able to redirect 
the output to my printer so i could see what directries i was in and what i 
was doing.  that was only dos though.  i can't belive i even did that.
