I've had 3 of those over the years before the Laser. They were pretty
good except that they use a ribbon which can dry out with age and
may not freeze well.

I didn't mention the other day that I also used to leave my Laser
printer over the winter in an unheated place while I wintered
elsewhere, and it was never affected by cold which I probably
couldn't have said for an ink jet printer.

That's quite something.. I wouldn't have thought of something like that
but, as you say, that's not something you could do on anything but a
text based OS. It might be possible to do graphics but it would
be horribly slow, eat a lot of ink, and only work on static screens..
