I went the other direction and took a Lenovo Chromebook, installed
SeaBIOS on it, and set it up with a Windows install. It was an odd one -
had a 16GB SSD in it and space for a SATA drive. When I loaded Windows
on the SATA drive, the 16GB SSD showed up as an intel cache for the
SATA. I'd played with this technology before, something called "Intel
Smart Response Technology"). Back in the day you could use it to get
faster speeds out of spinning SATA drives. I suppose it predated hybrid
SATA drives, which included the cache on the drive.

I still have a 500gb hybrid SATA drive. I wonder what it would feel like
nowadays - I haven't had a system with a spinning drive since I don't
know how long -- 2014?
