I only spent a few mins on it; i didn't have much time.
All i did was do a proper update (removed any msvc* distro files, installed the ones linked in the install .rtf), then experimented by adding sbbsexec files in.

I have a heavily customized bbs.  it's probably something to do with events or Maybe even my customized text.dat

I'll work on it later.  I was just doing my part by reporting issues.
it doesnt seem like enough people looked at this release before it was put in the public and that's sad.  there's a lot of yes men around who could have caught things for rob.   He does a lot of support but the users of the bbs software should do their part.

i do run linux.  I rent a server from ovh.I had this bbs here running on linux, but it went off of it to Windows 10 32bit on a vm on proxmox.  Less bullshit.
