Years ago I participated in Field Day at a park and heard that near the park a Ham ran FSTV so I walked over to the QTH, introduced myself and got to see the gear He was running a 432 Mc/s rig and told me several Hams inthe County also were on the frequency. At that time I never had operated on VHF and didn't desire todo that. My first VHF experience was listening to 2 Meter QSOs on the same portable radio I could tune to the Air Band. Listening to that Repeater I later bought a friends crystal controlled rig and got in the 2M group. MATH, read your comments on that subject made me think about when I bought a TI-30 calculator whichalso had a Book called Math on keys. Plane Geometry was the highest level Math Class I took in HS. The calculator book helped me learn Trig (somewhat). Also I have a book published by Howard Sams called Handbook of Electronic Tables and Formulas. It is a big help to me. I canrecall some formulas but I also have problems with a lot of the deeper stuff. Nowadays if I need help DuckDuckGo comes to the rescue. Now IF I could get straightened out on the English Alphabet, ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA .
