      Title: Spaghetti Sauce

      Yield: 1 Batch
 
      1 kg Extra lean ground beef
           - (approximate)
    1/2 kg Lean ground pork
           - (approximate)
    680 ml Can romano & basil tomato
           - sauce
    796 ml Can crushed tomatoes
      2 tb Tomato paste
      1    Cooking onion; finely diced
      3 cl Garlic;
           - up to 4, finely diced
      1    Celery rib; finely diced
      2 c  Mushrooms; chopped
      1 c  Dry red wine
      1 tb Oregano
      1 tb Basil
    1/4 c  Parsley; chopped -OR-
  1 1/2 tb Dried parsley
      2 ts Fennel
      4    Bay leaves; up to 5
 
  Separately brown the pork and ground beef in a frying pan, using 1 tb
  cooking oil for each. Transfer each in turn to a large pot.
  
  Add the remaining ingredients to the pot, and bring the contents to a
  low boil, stirring occasionally to keep contents from sticking to the
  bottom.
  
  Once the contents are at a low boil, reduce the heat and simmer on
  low for 3 to 4 hours.
