      Title: Ultimate Veggie Burgers

      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      1 tb Flax meal
      2 tb Low-sodium tamari
    1/2 c  Walnut pieces
    3/4 c  Brown lentils;
           - cooked or canned,
           - rinsed & drained
    1/2 c  Vital wheat gluten
    1/4 c  Onion; grated
      1 tb Fresh parsley; minced
    1/2 ts Browning sauce
    1/2 ts Smoked paprika
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Black pepper; freshly ground
      2 tb Olive oil
 
  In a blender, combine flax seed meal and tamari, blending until
  viscous. Set aside.
  
  In a food processor, pulse the walnuts to coarsely chop. Add the
  lentils, vital wheat gluten, onion, parsley, browning sauce (if
  using), flax mixture, paprika, salt, and pepper. Process until well
  combined but with some texture remaining. Shape the mixture into 4
  patties and place on a platter. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  
  Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the
  patties, and cook until browned on both sides, about 4 minutes per
  side. Serve hot.
