Can I add my 2 cent into this. I have had the same issue. What I was trying to do is hold the mouse and highlight the text I wanted and the right click to copy, BUT what I just found out was that when I JUST highlight the text and let go of the mouse key the highlight goes away but it is in the clipboard read to copy. I was always thinking that I had to "COPY" it myself, but it was automatic.

I just learned something.
