A few years back, the Sheriffs in his
county took a CI at their word with no
evidence tht Afroman was dealing in
narcotics and human trafficking, got a
warrant, raided his house, found
nothing, miscounted his money,
destroyed his property and caused
damages.

The CI turned out to be full of shit
and had lied to try and escape a felony
charge. So Afroman petitioned the local
sheriff's office to get reimbursed for
the damage they did to his property and
hi surveillance system (they cut his
cameras) and was informed they had also
miscounted cash they took from his
property. They basically told him to
pound sand and eat it.

So Afroman did a song, and eventually a
whole album's worth of songs using his
footage and shittin all over the police
and used the money to pay for the
property damage; also sold t-shirts.
The police got upset and sued him, and
had the most goof ass trial you've ever
seen. Afroman won the defamation trial,
and while goofy, provides further
precedence of your freedom of speech
to criticize public officials
triumphing over those public officials
perceived reputations.

tl;dr Afroman's case is another brick
in the wall defendin freedom of speech
against state and federal officials.
