Funny you bring up the Wright brothers.
Their patent war probably hampered the
development of aircraft in this country
by years AFTER their invention and may
have indirectly led to the death of
many Americans in the first World War. 

All in protection of profit. Now mind,
Patent law is prickly, I do think
people deserve to protect their patents
and their inventions, I belive in
private property as any American
generally does. But there is a point
where something becomes of national
interest, and it is more harmful to
allow the hoarding of treasure and
property and such to the country than
it is to leave the wealthy to their
treats.

And you didn't need to do a whole ass
lecture on what a corporation's
responsibility is. I know what it is. I
said it's harmful and needs to change,
it follows from a legal precedent, and
it's an ideology we need to move away
from. I'm not saying their role IS to
give back to society right now. I'm
saying we can CHOOSE to make it so. 

And I'm gonna stand by that. You can
misconstrue that as personal envy all
day long, but tht doesn't make it true.
I believe in better live for Americans.
I don't care one whit about whether an
Elon or a Bezos loses billions in taxes
out of their share holder value. Their
companies can move nations already.
They insert themselve into our
politics, our daily lives, and make
them worse, and do regularly. 

There was a time in this country where
only the wealthy property owners could
vote. So long as the Oligarch class is
not held to account, that is the system
we have returned to. Think of every
person you call a RINO. Why do you call
them that? Why do you think they are a
RINO? Usually because you suspect they
are taking money from somewhere, yeah?
Well who the hell do you think has and
spends the money, man? This should be
a universal item of hatred. Instead,
you cape for those who could buy
planets.
