He can be held > accountable. The problem is, any President can now claim ANYTHING they did was part of their job. Imagine if Nixon said those tapes were kept because they were needed in the course of his work as President to keep internal tabs and so everyone can eat fuckin rocks, and the court was like "yeah that checks out." And yeah, if a presient kills a US Citizen extrajudicially, regardless of whether they deserve it, then I DO think the President should have to account for that. Just like Trump should have to account for how his policy decisions result in things like ICE killin people or violatin the 4th amendment, as a policy decision. That's my point. The President was NEVER supposed to be elevated above the people. He is supposed to be OF the people, and share our rights and consequences. I don't give a fuck who th president is, the executive should never, NEVER get a free pass on criminality. Wanna delay it till after th presidency is over? That is a conversation perhaps that could be had. But ALL are meant to be equal under the law, or else we don't have law at all. These exceptions and immunities are an insult to the American people and should not be permitted. And I'd say this for any presient of any party. It's the same reason I think the filibuster should be removed, despite the fact it would allow the GOP to run their agenda right now. Because the most important thing in this country is that we actually enforce our democratic principles. These exceptions undermine our system of government and are actively harmful. --Just Post, World Is A Fuck!-- This Quality Shit-Post Brought To You Via Commodore 64 Ultimate --- SBBSecho 3.37-Linux * Origin: Vertrauen - [vert/cvs/bbs].synchro.net (1:103/705) ----------------------------------------------------------- [Voltar]
