So back in the day, pre-AOL, if you wanted to get on line, you either had to be
technically knowledgeable or nice to someone who was.  There was no help to get
on line.

Early Internet was even worse.  I remember working to get KA9Q running on my
MS-DOS machine.

Then along comes AOL, who does it all for you.  Now, armed with a GUI (i.e.
point-and-drool interface), from your AOL account, you could bother thousands
of people who were, pre-AOL, insulated from the "me to!" people.


... ...I love children!  They taste just like chicken.
