Yes.  Communists have long seen (quite rightly) that the churches are in
competition with them for control of the population.

No.  But remember that to the mentally ill crowd, if you aren't confirming
their delusions, you are "harassing" them.

So this is just another way of going after the churches.  The Communists have
done this many, many, many times in history.
