As soon as a patch hits another minor release gets pushed, though. I don't fight it. I'll use the latest stuff they have in the package manager. If something doesn't work, I'll go back to whatever version worked last (which hasn't happened in quite some time now). Maybe this is why some of my versions don't match yours. Mayhaps at times the arch devs need to tweak something to make it work with everything else, until upstream fixes it themselves. >:read !gcc --version > gcc (GCC) 16.1.1 20260518 > I bet you (archlinux) can't top that ... yet. Tomorrow maybe. ;-) No sir, not yet anyway.. Still close enough, though! $ gcc --version gcc (GCC) 16.1.1 20260430 I'm also still on Linux version 7.0.7-arch2-1, which you probably never saw anything like that. It's possible that's actually 7.0.8 or even 7.0.9 seeing as though "2-1" I'm led to believe means it's a second and/or patched version of the original (7.0.7-arch1-1 I believe was the first that was installed here). But I'm just guessing at this point. Regards, Nick ...
