Hey Alan!

WHOA!!! Big problem thought you might keep an eye out for. The latest lfs's "8.78. Udev from Systemd-259.1" is evil. I reverted back to the last stable version according to lfs's "Version 12.4" is "8.76. Udev from Systemd-257.8" and that took care of the hardware errors I was seeing - memory, sata and usb but there might have been more I didn't notice. Also returned back to the linux-6.18 branch as shown below.

:read /proc/version
Linux version 6.18.10 (root@bitskii) (gcc (GCC) 15.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.45.1) #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Feb 12 00:08:19 UTC 2026

So far so good but I plan to do more testing before committing to it. I am booted to it as we speak. The current plan is to give it a couple days and see what is what then.

Life is good,
Maurice
