Hey Alan!

There goes 42 minutes I'll never get back.

Just a tad under 4x faster but still +10 minutes of my life gone to testing el-cheapo flash disks. However one more test as the Leexar has a USB-C male plug on the opposite end of the pen drive. Is there a difference?
64G Lexar D300 USB 3.2 Gen 1, Type C male plug
# dd if=slackware64-current-install-dvd.iso of=/dev/sda status=progress
4963172864 bytes (5.0 GB, 4.6 GiB) copied, 611 s, 8.1 MB/s

Slightly faster but nothing to write /home to the mothership about.
For the record the sata ssd on both the type a and c produced the same result at 395 MB/s transfer rates, which compared to the above rates is astronomically superior if one ignores the cost differential.

Maurice
