Hello Chris,

Pity. My personal opinion - note the word "personal" - is that Winpoint having its own message base is a negative. It is a barrier in going from point to full mode. If it were just using JAM, a widely spread "standard" one could have the benefit of using a variety of utilities written for JAM.

Then stop using OneDrive. What is the benfit of using storage in the cloud for for a FidoNet message base anyway? And if one MUST use the cloud, stay away from Microsoft I'd say...

Just keep the message base on a local HD. The required space is neglegible compared to what is available these days.

Too bad indeed.

Another option would be to drop Winpoint and use Binkd, Famail and Golded instead...

That way you would have a stepping stone to full node status as a bonus.

So... there you go. You have to start thinking for yourself...

MvdV>>> So hopefully he did not completely mess up his system.

Hmmm.. if you mess up the data base by mixing formats, a file on OneDrive would be as easely corrupted as a file on local drive...

Cheers, Michiel
